Channel Productions is a small, successful independent record company based in Twin Falls, Idaho, now marking over 20 years in business. We started in 1987 with the release of Piano Reflections, the debut recording by Kelly Yost. Kelly followed Piano Reflections with her second effort, Quiet Colors, in 1991. Roses & Solitude, featuring yet another beautiful collection of classical favorites and overlooked musical gems, followed in 1996. Her fourth recording, Still...Still...Still, a Christmas album, was released in 1998. Together, Kelly's recordings have sold over 380,000 copies. She has won legions of fans with the gentle, tasteful versions of timeless classical compositions and selected modern pieces.
In 1992, Channel Productions expanded its artist roster to include Hagood Hardy, one of Canada's most accomplished composers and musicians. His three Channel Productions releases include Walk With Me, featuring some of Hagood's best-loved music including his international hit, "The Homecoming"; Anne, Hardy's soundtrack from the Emmy Award-winning TV presentation "Anne of Green Gables" and My Song, another compilation of contemporary orchestral music with richly layered piano. As of July 2010, Channel Productions no longer distributes these albums.
Noted classical guitarists Mark Small and Robert Torres joined the Channel Productions family in 1994 with The Water Is Wide, a tranquil recording featuring a blend of classical masterworks, folk, hymns, and even a hint of jazz. The Water is Wide's shimmering arrangements showcase the two guitarists, who are accompanied on several selections by other instrumentalists. As of July 2010, Channel Productions no longer distributes this album.
